I was intrigued and impressed with Rob Benwell’s new e-book Blogging to the Bank 2.0. Rob states that he earns up to $3000 per month from his smaller blogs.
Quick review:
* Beginner bloggers will cut a huge chunk from the blogging learning curve reading and implementing this e-book
* Follow the principle in the book to create or buy fresh content and you WILL earn money from your blogs
* The step by step instructions make it very easy to get going with your own blogging empire
* I would like to have seen some more search engine optimization techniques
* Advanced bloggers might not find Blogging to the Bank 2.0 as insightful, but you will still learn some new tricks
* Beginner bloggers might consider joining a more resource rich host, like Third Sphere, other than the one recommended in the e-book
* Rob shows you exactly which blogging platform to use and how to use it, I use the same platform, no surprise there
I am a bit of a perfectionist, so if you ignore the grammar and spelling issues here and there, Blogging to the Bank 2.0 will get you going in the blogosphere in no time! The whole process Rob Benwell developed seems too darn simple - but it WORKS. He shows you the results to prove it.
I am very cautious when it comes to new products on building a web business, too many duds out there. But Rob claims to earn thousands every month from his blogging empire and that intrigued me, the $47 price tag was low enough for my intrigue to win the battle. Blogging to the Bank 2.0 was a pleasant surprise. Rob Benwell uses simple language to explain in a step-by-step way how to start earning money from different blogs.
If you are an aspiring information entrepreneur then his simple language is a great lesson. You do not have to be a pro-writer to create an info product. Just write naturally and keep it simple. It might be a good idea to proof read your content, if Rob did this, the flow of his product might have been better.
Use Web 2.0 in to get traffic to your blog
The most interesting and useful section of Blogging to the Bank 2.0 was the part on Web 2.0 tools like DIGG and Squidoo. Specifically the section on Squidoo was very useful and very step-by-step. For example, Rob shows you exactly how to use a Lens in Squidoo. More on Web 2.0 on the review on my blog.
Blogging to the Bank 2.0 advocates using MSN and Yahoo to Build Your Traffic , this is a much faster way to get the traffic flowing. We all know it is neigh impossible to please the Googlemeister. If you continuously post good quality content on your different blogs, you will eventually get into the Google engine.
As far as Rob is concerned, his time is much better spent creating new blogs which get found in MSN and Yahoo faster. If the blogs eventually get into Google, he regards that as a bonus. He also uses and recommends a no-cost keyword research tool in the e-book.
Blogging to the Bank delivers on its promises, although I would have like to see a bit more search engine optimization tips and techniques. Different from the Black Hat techniques in Blogging to the Bank version 1.0, version 2.0 advocates only White Hat search engine optimization techniques, which I heartily commend! To be sustainable in the blogosphere, you need solid, value adding content and links.
In Blogging to the Bank 2.0, he describes different ethical ways to get hundreds or perhaps thousands of one-way links to your site, no Black Hat tactics. This is all good, solid stuff.
What else?
* More on Web 2.0 tactics
* Using Google's Blogger can be dangerous
* Which blogs to host yourself
* Which domain host might be more suitable for beginners
* What to do now that you bought Blogging to the Bank 2.0
